When I was a child, year after year, my most enjoyable experience was to go to the Science and Industry Museum in Chicago.  There I would sit entranced at the Electomagnetic Spectrum Exhibit, where an amazing person, like a magician, demonstrated the unity and wholeness of creation.

Colored fluorescent lights, illustrating the electromagnetic spectrum, filled the width of the hall above the stage.  We were told that the only difference between radio waves at the left hand of the spectrum, visible light in the middle, and cosmic rays at the right hand of the spectrum is the difference in the frequency of the waves.

Things may appear to be separate on the outside of creation, yet underlying all of creation is an indivisible wholeness. 

I sat enthralled, as the lights moved from left to right above the stage, illuminating some new feature of the electromagnetic spectrum along its path, as the speaker gave a new physical demonstration of the electromagnetic spectrum.

I knew this would be my life’s purpose:  to help others understand that, despite all appearances on the surface, everything and everyone is essentially one and united.  We are not separate from our environment and each other.  Everything exists in one wholeness.  We are one human family.

At some level, The Da Vinci Man Code was born here. 

A wave (whether electromagnetic, sound or ocean) consists of peak and trough (mountain and valley).  The two cojoined forms that make up the Da Vinci Man can also signify the peak (Da Vinci Man with arms uplifted) and trough (Da Vinci Man with arms outstretched) of
a wave. 

In electromagnetic waves, this oscillation between mountain peak and valley trough of a wave occurs millions of times per second.  This cycle can occur quickly or slowly in Nature.  It is the cycle of rest and activity in the beating of the heart, inward and outward breath, waking and sleeping, or change of seasons. 

Usually when you experience unity of wholeness, it is accompanied by a non-dual complementarity of opposites, like Yin and Yang.  This is also the hidden meaning of the Star of David and the Christian Cross.  The Da Vinci Man’s ability to express the essential unity underlying all creation may be why it is the most popular secular symbol in the world.

Unfortunately, the Electromagnetic Spectrum Exhibit was replaced by other exhibits.  The search for the unified field, of which the electromagnetic spectrum was one major part, took a back seat to the advancement of computer technologies and other amazing, yet not as fulfilling to the spirit, projects.

I studied psychology, because I wanted to learn more about who I am as an indivisibly whole being, and share this knowledge with the world.  I started writing the Whole Student Handbook in l976 and had three editions out to several colleges in the Chicago area by l980.  It was an attempt to share this wholeness, but it did not go to the heart of things.  What I still yearned for was to find a format, like the person on the stage at the Science and Industry Museum, that would demonstrate the unity of creation.

It seems very necessary to communicate that quantum physics and unified field theory support spirit.  There seems to be a congruence between science, consciousness (one’s personal experiences) and religion.  The first letter of each of these words spells SCR, which is an acronym for “Sacred”.  Thus, Sacred Studies was born.

In 1994, one of the most fulfilling experiences I had was making over 2000 photocopies of such incredibly amazing similarities between science and spirit in seven libraries throughout the Chicago area.  At least half were found at the Skokie Public Library and the huge Harold Washington Library in downtown Chicago.

I have written several books along the way.  (I felt only one was ready to be published to a small audience).  Yet, they all provide the basis for the information I am now sharing with a big audience.  A more recent background of how The Da Vinci Man Code book was started is written in the “About Allen” section at davincimancode.com.
