Historically, science has been investigating the subatomic parts of an atom (atomism or reductionism). Science emphasizes where we are separate from nature. This has led to alienation and a feeling "us vs them". This attitude leads to loneliness, addiction to overcome feelings of separation and war.
More recently, a new paradigm of Indivisible Wholeness is emerging in science. David Bohm, whom Albert Einstein considered to be his spiritual heir, proclaimed that the universe is indivisibly whole. Bohm’s student, John Bell, theorized that all things are interconnected. In 1987, Alain Aspect proved that Bell's Theorem was correct. Aspect demonstrated that two photons (of light) are intimately connected, even though separated in space.
Theoretically, two different photons could be separated over distant galaxies and still maintain their interconnectedness. Other scientists have proven Bell's Theorem of interconnectedness time and again. Many believe that this is the most important scientific discovery of the 20th century!
