Article on Indivisible Wholeness as the Paradigm for World PeaceIndivisible Wholeness as a 1) The present scientific paradigm is still promoting the classical physics of Isaac Newton, which treated nature and the individual as machines rather than as spiritual beings; and the duality of the Copenhagen theory of Niels Bohr and early quantum physicists, which has resulted in feelings of increased alienation and separation from our environment and others. 2) These older paradigms lack information about the significance of scientific breakthroughs, which promote indivisible wholeness, as suggested by David Bohm. 3) For example, in 1967 David Bohm’s student, John Bell, proposed a theory of indivisible wholeness of creation at the quantum level (e.g., photons), which was proven by Alain Aspect in 1987. It has subsequently been proven many more times. It is accepted by the scientific community, although its implications are not fully understood. Many scientists believe it to be the most important discovery of the 20th century (chapter 5). 4) The Copenhagen theory dealt with the surface level understanding of quantum physics, separating particle from wave. Particle and wave complementarity was acknowledged—a good start, versus the essential unity of the particle-wave (the holon or wavicle). This misunderstanding has resulted in eighty years of duality that has increased feelings of alienation and separation from nature and others. This results in a need to dominate the environment rather than cooperate with it. 5) Advances in science indicate a growing convergence between modern scientific models of indivisible wholeness and ancient religious symbols and art (as well as the Da Vinci man). 6) An understanding of the paradigm of indivisible wholeness will lead to an experience of greater union with the Divine, Divine Creation and all humanity. 7) If we understand that our fellow human being is our self, this will lead to a greater ability to love our neighbor as ourselves and to experience that the world is my family. 8) The knowledge that we are not separate will shift an I versus them mentality to one of we and together, and you don’t have to lose in order for me to win. This will lead to more cooperation with our environment and others, rather than attempts to control and manipulate. Stephen Covey already promotes this win-win attitude in the best-selling business book of the 20th century, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. 9) The knowledge that we are not separate from the Divine, Divine Creation and all humanity will lead to greater inner peace, resulting in greater peace on earth and good will towards all. 10) Most individuals already intuitively believe in the paradigm of indivisible wholeness through their religious beliefs. Judaism espouses the essential union of Adonai (Divine feminine) with Elohim (Divine masculine) in its central prayer of the Shema. This is represented by the two cojoined triangles of the Star of David and is further developed in Jewish mysticism in the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Both have a similar resemblance to the Da Vinci Person. In Hinduism, this is the union of Shiva, Shakti and Ganesh, which is also represented by a cojoined right-side-up and upside-down triangle that resembles the Star of David. This same star in three dimensions (star octahedron) is found throughout nature at the subatomic level of creation in chemical bonding, crystals, water molecules, and the union of proton and neutron (three quarks cojoined right-side-up and upside-down) in the nucleus of the atom. In Christianity this is the union of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and is represented by the cross. In Taoism this is the union of the Yin and Yang, encircled by the T’ai Chi. Early Christianity adopted a form of the Yin-Yang that looks like two fish in a circle. One Christian would signal their belief by drawing a fish, which would be matched by another believer, resembling the union of Yin and Yang. The two cojoined Da Vinci forms encircled represent this same wholeness: “As above, so below.” As in spirit, now in science. Indivisible wholeness is already a paradigm for ancient religion. It is also starting to be used as a paradigm for modern science. When this amazing similarity is brought from our subconscious awareness to our conscious acceptance, we will be more able to relate to each other as a world family.
